Filming the Commercial

In the film process, I filmed the very first scene of the commercial . The very first scene was two of my people out of my group. I had to tilt the camera from left and right, cause we planned for a pan movement to be done. I also had to make sure that I was going slow but quick so I can catch all of the facial expressions and dialogue. In scene 1, the jogger shows up and buys a sandwich, bagel, and a coffee. In scene number 2, I pretend to be a mean businesswoman. I manage to maintain a mean attitude until I get my food. The next scene shows me, the businesswoman, on her way to get her order. The businesswoman finally gets to the Dunkin Donuts, only to realize that the employee gave someone else her food. She was furious.

In the next scene, the businesswoman, me, is screaming at the employee telling her to re-make her food right now. The officer decides to re make it to make her happy. As I am already late for work, the employee finishes with my order, and tells me I don't have to pay. I walked off happy and content, and the commercial ends. To conclude, I got to record some of the film and I got to play in it also. Getting to film was a new experience for me as I never really used a camera. I had to make sure that we had the perfect shot of that scene, before we moved on. It was also fun to act as someone else for the commercial. Also, during this process, I got to set up the next scene, whether it was to move things out of the camera way, or to just make the scene look better. I was the one who made sure that our scenes were good before we moved on.

Having being a part of the filming process overall was a nice experience. It felt good to go over the scenes and make sure we did them correctly, lines and all. I also shot by hand instead of using the tripod, so besides the pan movement in the first shot, I had to be really still. It was a challenge as it is easy to move during that position. During the process, I got to show my acting skills and act as the character that I am supposed to be. I made sure that my voice was clear and attitude filled. I also had on my business clothes like a real businesswoman. I made sure that my group partners wore their ideal outfit for the commercial too. Jessica, the jogger, wore a shirt and gym pants with sneakers, and Micahia, the worker, wore a plain shirg with jeans, with a visor and a name tag. I also got to make sure all of use the proper character for our scenes.
